Disturb the Peace [OPEN] « Thread Started on Feb 20, 2008, 8:59pm »
Once again Alecto was left to her own devices, much like any night. With nothing better to do than find a way to entertain herself she apparated from the Carrow Manor she still resided in, until she found a place of her own. The chances of Alecto ever having a place of her own was pretty slim, who would rent to her? She could rent a room in the Twisted Fates or the Leaky Cauldron but why would she want too when she still had her place in Cornwall. She was only eighteen and really it was still respectable to be found living at home. She figured it would probably be best for her to move out, especially if people found out about what she did with her time when it was more scheduled. Sure being an Unknown Death Eater made being out and about easier, but one day her status would catch up to her and honestly she wasn’t waiting on the day with baited breath. Alecto liked being over looked like nothing it was what she was comfortable with, when you had too much attention it got uncomfortable and strange. Despite the strange uncomfortable feelings from too much attention Alecto craved it, some how she had to find a way to have a happy medium. Right now she just used her strange awkward bitter feelings towards her ‘work’ rather than address all issues to fix them.
Alecto was currently walking Knockturn Alley searching for a way to entertain herself and drown her feelings and thoughts. Alecto figured she might as well quench her thirst and feed her grumbling stomach. Why not go for the upper class restaurant, hide along at a table and just stuff her face? It was a good thought. Luckily she had her bag with her money and a book, it would give her some time to read, eat and generally be available for social interaction if anyone dared speak with her. It was Knockturn Alley most people learnt the hard way to keep to themselves, which might be why Alecto felt so at home here. It was strange to think last year at this time she was pushing through her last year of Hogwarts, bitter and angry and hating everyone. Not much had really changed asides from not wearing the Slytherin crest and colours; at least she didn’t have to suffer through the near insufferable classes mate actions. Everyone was so hormonal and it was like Alecto had never had hormones kick in, at least not to the extent that her schoolmates’ had. All Alecto needed was some attention now and then, but she didn’t even get that. Sex was not an issue for her, only once had it ever happened and that was just this summer. Alecto doesn’t even think she could place a name to the face anymore.
Musing upon this subject she opened the door of The Four Winds, nodded in the direction of the waitress and headed to her usual table near the back. If anyone knew her they would know she was there, in the back corner about to down some wine and munch on some form of salad or something. Alecto slipped into the familiar wooden seat, put her bag on the opposite chair, but not before removing her book. Settled there she opened the menu her book at the side as her eyes glazed over the menu for a moment. The waitress came over and Alecto without a glance up spoke coldly, her raspy voice produced through perhaps her most attractive feature, her lips. “The usual,” she said with no sort of thanks or please. She opened up her book scanned the pages to note where she was and began to read. She was not expecting a visit from anyone any time soon. She would wait for her soup and large glass of red wine to arrive within five minutes or so. Later she would get some sort of torte or cake for dessert. Alecto was not one to watch her weight or fret about it. Alecto was content in who she was, what she looked like, and was too bothered about doing her ‘job’ right. Alecto flipped the page of the musty book, the familiar sent enveloping her. The books were a constant reminder of the library. Unfortunately someone was about to arrive and disturb the peace Alecto was so usual and comfortable in.

"Hey Missy," Came a raspy voice as a hunched, cloaked and hooded figure hobbled over to where she sat. "Any room here for a fellow friend?" Rodolphus pulled his hood down slightly to reveal his heavily accented eyes and laughed. Standing up straight - his height and build going back to their normal distinguished marks - he stretched his arms out and yawned. "So...what you doing out here on your own? This late at night?" He looked around the restaurant, which could be said to be more upmarket than the rest of the street - although could anywhere in Knockturn Alley really be considered 'upmarket'?
Rodolphus plopped himself down into the seat next to Alecto, careful not to show his face to the other punters too much. Although he was in the comfort of Knockturn alley, there were still those dwellers of the place who would turn him in to the Ministry in a nutshell, if not only for the reward. Afterall, there was a hefty one on Rodolphus' head. "Don't mind me joining you, do you?" Obviously he wasn't going to wait for Alecto to respond, such was Rodolphus' outlook on things. As if he would honestly care whether she wanted him to or not. If she was stupid enough to seriously contest his sitting next to her, he'd hang her by her toenails from the lamp shade and hex her into oblivion.
"Burger and chips." He called over to the waitress who nodded. "And a firewhisky. Make it a double." He added looking at Alecto and her book. He gave a slight whistle. He was going to be in for a long night - Alecto liked to let herself blend into the wallpaper, and it was now his task to try and bring her out of her shell a little more. If she was going to be a serious Death Eater, she would have to converse with her partners in crime a little more than she did. Whether it would work or not was another question, but Rodolphus didn't have anything more interesting to do with his night, so why not spend it doing something that may end up being quite worth while?
