Noel walked into the large room with floating candles all around and four separate tables and one long one in a far off part of the room. It was about 9 in the morning and Noel stretched her arms out. She wore her yellow and black Hufflepuff robes and walked gracefully to the Hufflepuff table where a few others in her house where sitting. The usual Slytherin students where snicking laughing at a few of the Hufflepuffs who where too afraid to stand up for themselves whilst a few Slytherins threw paper balls at them.
Noel shook her head. She never liked to see anyone be bullied. She remembered when she was in her first year she was bullied very little but she knew how it felt to be someone's target. She grabbed a goblet full of Hot spicy cider and began to sip from it.She let her golbet down when she was finnished and grabbed herself a full plate with Eggs, Sausage, bacon, toast, and a cinnamon roll with white icing.
She smiled and took a bite of the cinnamon roll first admiring its sweet fluffy texture. She looked over at the other tables. Very few Gryffindors had shown up. Most of the Ravenclaws where here and about a dozen Slytherins where there.

Lizzie came into the Great Hall in a bit of a rush, she had just gotten back from her morning run and to say she went a little longer than she thought was an understatement. She wore her robes and had her book bag slung over her shoulder. Looking around the Great Hall she saw the typical morning crowd and was actually rather glad she had a free period this morning. She could go and sit out by the lake and reflect on last year.
Looking up and down her house table she looked for a place to sit, possibly next to someone she knew and so when she caught sight of Noel she sighed a bit, glad to see a friendly face. She walked down the table towards her and easily called to her, "Good Mornign Noel, How are you doing this fine morning."
As Lizzie finished the greeting she pulled sat down next to the sixth year Hufflepuff who she had been able to talk to for the last few years. She was not sure if she could consider her a best friend but a friend at the very least.

Noel had just finished a tender piece of yummy sausage when she heard a voice call her name. She wiped her hands on her napkin and turned toward it. It was her long time friend Lizzie Porter. Noel nodded and smiled at Lizzie. Acknowledging her presence, Noel pushed her plate away to give her full undivided attention to Lizzie.
"Well, Hello Lizzie. Im quite alright. Trying to finish breakfast before class. I don't have free period like you do."
Noel smiled and fixed her robes.

Lizzie smiled before saying, "Well don't let me keep you from your meal, it looks amazing like normal. Though I am glad I have a free period I need to sort of think about things. Last year was hard and I am still trying to move on past it. By the way have you seen Owen anywhere or is he still asleep upstairs?"
Lizzie was wondering if her brother Owen was actually going to make it to class on time today or if it was going to be a typical day hearing from some teacher saying that Owen had been late again, this was a typical thing for him ever since their parents and sisters had been killed and after he had helped her to move on. Looking down at her plate she sighed, she still thought about them everyday about all the good times they had had and she sighed as she thought about the memories.

Noel thought for a brief moment thinking back to see if she had seen Owen this morning. She shook her head and sighed.
"I do not believe that I have Lizzie. I believe he must still be in bed."
Noel pushed her plate toward her and noticed that her eggs where getting cold so forced them down fast and almost choked on them. She took one last sip of her goblet and pushed it aside.
"Lizzie, Do you have any spare time after your classes? I was wondering if we could study together in the Library?" Noel whipped her mouth with her napkin and smiled up at one of her best friends.

"I would love to study with you Noel, I have time. I always seem to be able to make time anyway. So what else are you up to today Noel?" Lizzie had scooped up some fruit salad and a piece of toast for breakfast today. "I mean any interesting classes today or are you going into Binn's History Class, I have him later today and I am hoping to stay awake today I mean i love history but his class does seem to be the hadest to focus in."
Lizzie took a few bites out of her fruit salad and then poured some pumpkin juice for herself and took a sip. Today was going to be rather slow unless she got any exciting homework assignments for class. Though spending some more time with Noel would help her through the day and hopefully through todays ache, since today her sisters would have been four years old and that was something she really wished she could have seen.

Noel nodded and smiled at Lizzie. "I do have History my first period actually. I'm trying my hardest in that class. History was never my forte. I'm better at Potions and Charms than I am at Wizarding History. Me being brought up in the Muggle Society doesn't help that I don't know much I guess." Noel sighed at her lack on knowledge for her Wizarding kind.
Noel grabbed her black leather book bag and slung it over her shoulder and sighed. "I really wish I had some cliff notes for something to go on. I have read almost the whole history book front and back and I still can't remember any of it."

Lizzie couldn't help but laugh and said, "Noel you seem to forget that i grew up on a farm. A Muggle farm, so I was in the same boat as you, though their history is just like any other because like all history it is what happened many years before us. Though I would have to say the period in which we live today will be part of history it always would have been but the war currently going on will make it stand out."
Lizzie thought for a moment and then realized that meant what she would do and be a part of would have impact on the future. She could die in the coming years, many good people would she just hoped that if she were to die someone would look after Owen and not place him in an Orphanage. She sighed at the thoughts then put on a smile. Turned back to noel and said, "Well if you want any help with the history just give me a shout I am willing to help you out. I am your friend after all."

Noel gave a hopeful and sweet smile Lizzie's way. Noel got up from the table and handed Lizzie a small piece of paper. She loved having Lizzie as a friend. She had always been there for her. In her first year she was one of the few friends that she could trust with her life. One of the few people she would give her life for. Noel moved her hair from her face.
"Thank you Lizzie. Meet me in the library after your classes. I'm going to need a small history lesson from you. I'll pay you back when we go to Hogsemeade. I'll buy you lots of chocolate frogs and candies." Noel smiled and started to walk off.
